Amidst the most information-savvy generation ever in one of the wealthiest countries in the world, there is a steep increase of detrimental issues plaguing students including substance abuse, technology addiction, and mental health problems. So, where is the disconnect between having access to everything and the increase in these problems?
There is currently a “mentoring gap” in our country. There are too many youth that need a positive role model in their life and not enough adults able to serve in that capacity for students to go around.
For the last twenty-five years, Kirksville KLIFE has provided the youth of our community, K-12, the opportunity to have a Christian young adult mentor in their life on a regular basis. Our organization is 100% funded by local donors — please help us raise over $100K a year in donations to invest in our students.
